Refund policy

Thank you so much for being here!  We at Hort & Home are absolutely thrilled to meet you, and we’re excited to welcome you into our growing family of happy customers!  We truly appreciate your business, and will strive to do everything in our power to ensure your absolute satisfaction. 

Oh no!  If there is something wrong with any item you have purchased from us, then please send an email to claims@hortandhome.com within 48 hours of receipt of the shipment so that we can get working on a solution for you.  Since we source items from a multitude of suppliers and artists, and work with many different carriers, all of which have their own terms and conditions for handling of claims, letting us know quickly if there is a problem will put us in the best position to make things right!  Please include photographs of the damage to the product and packaging for our better understanding, and be sure to hold onto the original packaging as it may still be needed! 

Buyer’s remorse?  No problem!  We will be happy to accept returns within the 48 contiguous States, whatever the reason.  Please email us at returns@hortandhome.com to request a return and we will get back to you within 24 hours.  For smaller items (typically packages delivered via UPS, FedEx or USPS), we offer to take care of the return process for a flat fee of $10.00 per item (which goes towards the cost of shipping and handling), and it couldn’t be more straightforward!  We will simply email a label to you to use, and you can then just drop the package off at the local carrier - easy peasy!  Larger items (such as furniture - typically delivered via freight / common carrier), are a little trickier to calculate in advance, and we would need to crunch numbers with our carriers to determine the cost to return.  In any case, please do not send returns via your own account or carrier without prior agreement with us; it is generally much more cost efficient to let us take care of that legwork, and we always need to ensure that returns are routed to the correct facility and referenced appropriately for restocking purposes.  Refunds will be issued (minus the agreed fee) once returned items have been processed back into our warehouse.
